Happy Birthday my Beautiful Girl!

I can’t believe that you are already one.  It seems like just a moment ago you were born.

Your personality is so sweet and full of joy, you make everyone around you smile.

You are a good eater, liking Mama’s milk the best, but eager to devour your favorites, including strawberries, bananas, nectarines, cucumbers, green beans and tomatoes, along with yogurt and salmon salad.

Though you’re the youngest, and the only girl, you hold a special spot in your brother’s hearts.  John tells you all the time that you two are going to be “buddies forever.”

While Michael takes care of you like a little daddy.  Kissing you when you cry and finding special toys for you to play with.

(As you can tell, your brothers take celebrating your birthday VERY seriously!)

You are scooting and crawling around all over the place, but not walking . . . yet!

You especially love being outside in the sunshine and in the garden.  Normally you put anything you can reach in your mouth (clods of dirt, clover flowers, lettuce leaves, snow peas) and are eager to explore.  You especially love watching the chickens, from Mama’s arms, dance around her legs.  You pump your legs and squeal with delight.

And, of course, after time outside, it’s time for a bath! Which you love!

You love being read to by daddy, and take the opportunity any chance you can get!

Daddy has a special place in his heart for his little girl.

And Mama’s too, of course. (your first trip to the park)

We love you so much, Sophia, and can’t wait to see what fun memories and milestones we’ll share in the next year!
